Just heard of the news that Los Angeles bus was hijacked.

Was watching footage earlier on Eyewitness News (7)

Sadly, one passenger was killed.

The insanity never ends, and, I fear, will only worsen.

And to think that mass transit (regardless of location) was once safe at any and all hours.............

Our "Woke" society and the entities that have been promoting it is a major problem. This has been going on for decades but has become bolder and more pernicious in the last few years. Prayers for the passenger who was killed and a return to sanity in our society.

Cyberider:

Today's bus drivers indeed should receive combat pay, if they operate routes in urban areas. Sad

Board a bus these days and you cannot be sure of not becoming a statistic en route.

I have not ridden on the bus in over 8 years, and have neither the need, nor the desire, to ever ride one again.

And to think that Mom and I once rode mass transit at all hours, without the slightest feeling of impending danger.......what a way to live...... Sad

NYO,

Sadly, I have to ride the bus since I don't drive and can't ride my bicycle which was my transportation for my entire life, due to a medical condition. I try to be nice to the drivers for all the BS they have to put up with. I, too, rode the bus with my Mom when I was a kid. Everyone riding dressed up back then. Not like all the slobs riding now. Of course, there are exceptions, and I'm thankful for them.

I'll ride the buses in the daytime only and never the light rail at any hour.
