This is both a nostalgic and historic photo, without a doubt; here, we see two of the most well-known buses on the streets of the City, the Fishbowl and the RTS.

Hard to believe that the Fishbowls have been gone since the 1990's, and the RTS is already gone several years.

Really nice photo......

When Hudson first opened in 1972 (from what I read, 39 years to the day before 9/11!) as a replacement for the sardine-can 12th Street depot, that garage's fleet of buses - 3488-3555, from the first made-for-MaBSTOA order of 1963 - were transferred to the new place, along with 3482-3487 of the same order and 8452-8458 of the 1966-67 order from 100th Street; 5246-5325 and 5523-5525 of the 1964-65 order from 54th Street; and 5516-5522 from 132nd Street. When the first MaBSTOA T6H-5309A's arrived in early 1973, Hudson got the first 20, 4800-4819. It signified the first time, on roll signs, that ex-FACO and NYCO routes got 'M' prefices, though the two ex-FACCo routes that ventured into Queens inexplicably got 'QM' prefices - which unwittingly duplicated the route numbers of two Green Bus Lines express routes (QM15 and QM16) that ventured into Manhattan. That - plus the shelving of the old 'FACO Division', 'NYCO Division' and 'Surface Transit Division' nomenclatures in favor of a total reorganization into Manhattan and Bronx divisions - may have been the catalyst for the massive mid-1974 change of several route numbers.

I.I.N.M., initially the following routes were brought to Hudson (with prior route assignments in parentheses):
- M11 (from 132nd Street)
- M12, M14 (from 12th Street)
- M13, M15 (later M26, now M23), M16 (now M34 and M34A SBS), M21 (from 54th Street)
