Interesting. Thanks for posting. They're just a bit too tall to use the tunnels around NYC. The Van Hools can, but I don't think their 5'9" headroom on each deck would be workable for a commuter bus....
They have to make a substantial improvement in highway range, before they can be used for long distance service. 250 mile range is too short. The only current solution may be to have a hydrogen fuel cell type bus for that purpose. Perhaps in the future, EV ranges can meet the demand, maybe by having some kind of inductive charging built into turnpikes and other roads? |
