See:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelham_Park_and_City_Island_Railway

In this article, it states that, when this early monorail stopped running in 1914, alternate service was temporarily provided by a leased Fifth Avenue bus.

This I found quite interesting; I'm wondering if any of the experts here have any other info on this.......

Thanks!

I'm curious to see what the wheels looked like. It definitely had to be double flanged.
