Note that (MaBSTOA) #8395 lacks the small-sized rearward ad frame, while #8373 is furnished with one.....

And both from the same depot/garage (Amsterdam), yet!

W.B.:

Yet another interesting "quirk" that made the "Noo Yawk" bus hobby so interesting and intricate, way back in the day.

I'm curious if the cardboard ad cards were supplied by "TDI"; this company, of course, posted the colorful galleries of ads along station platforms and in terminals terminals (they were, indeed, virtually a "trademark" of "Noo Yawk"-area commuter facilities.

Here in "Joisey", I well recall "split" ads on the rear of Old Looks, where the advertising cards were "split" to allow the engine doors to be opened.......

Like many of their "Tee-Yay" cousins, these two QUEENS TRANSIT Fishbowls carry both large and small ad frames......

Oh, and yet another thing we once took so for granted that is now gone with the wind (and the Fishbowls, and so on): Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

W.B.:

Hard to believe that such an iconic and long-established institution as Ringling Brothers is no more, relegated now to history, like the Fishbowls, "Dangerfields", and Old Looks themselves.....time flies....much too fast......

In 1970, we see battle-scarred OOS MaBSTOA Old Look #2622 displaying a dash ad for Ringling Brothers.........

In this long-ago scene from 1971 view, Fishbowl #6807's batwing rack seems a bit "off kilter",at least to my eyes......

In this truly nostalgic "Noo Yawk" scene, the "Noo Yawk" ads carried by #8543 are every bit as nostalgic as the bus itself.......
