WOW! This is an about face! After years of oversea manufacturers buying out American companies, it's nice to see an American company doing the buying for a change.
I hope this is a healthy marriage, perhaps we may see some American influence across the ocean.

Yes, today's NYCT bus fleet is uniformly Canadian in origin.
With the recent demise of the RTS (a US-oriented model which Canadian transit operators did not like) ADB's manufactured by NFI and Nova dominate the local routes, while MCI and Prevost rule the express routes. |

If you noticed, I mentioned American made, never mentioning the United States and for a good reason. Canadians consider themselves Americans as part of the North America continent. And for that matter any country that's part of the Americas - North and South.
Same response for you Q65A.

I stand corrected, Frankie, and thank you for your clarification.
Buses from Orion, MCI, New Flyer, Nova Bus and Prevost Car actually are manufactured at plants located in the U.S.
Orion’s US plant had been located at Oriskany NY
New Flyer has a plant located at Crookston MN (and I believe they were planning to open another plant near Buffalo NY to comply with Buy New York requirements.
MCI has had a plant at Pembina ND for some time.
Nova Bus and Prevost Car opened a plant at Plattsburgh NY also to comply with Buy New York requirements.
I don’t know where Proterra buses are manufactured (maybe California?)
Sorry ‘bout that... |

Great rundown of the current locations Q65A! And to think that at one time, GM and Flxible were the only game in town!
Proterra have manufacturing facilities in both City of Industry, CA and Greenville, SC.
