|
|
I saw a new Fishbowl bus made in Canada and it is a much better replica than the Busch toys. It is in 1/87 scale and it has a steerable front axle. They give you options like the type of bumper you want, wheels and I don't recall what else. They have a TTC bus for 40 dollars. They will not sell you anything for under $90 so they say they will not sell a single bus.
The bus is a 40 foot 102 in Transit with the double rear doors. So one of the side windows is smaller.. I saw the pic and I am impressed. I will try and get more info on this. |

Just clicked on the link and went right into the site. That is a great looking model. Now if they just made them in 1/160 scale I'd buy a couple. |

Note that they plan on making them for the US market, however US properties as a rule never had fishbowls with double wide rear doors with the shorter window behind it. You will be able to order these even though they are inaccurate. I plan on holding off until they make new molds - see below.
I eMailed the company a few days ago with this concern and the good news is that they plan in the future to make models used in the states. Regarding the 102" inch wide verses 96, they're not sure where to go with this because of the cost factor. Stay tuned!

I plan on buying a few of those even though I prefer the Suburban style bus |
