Here is a photo that was in a batch that I bought on eBay.
Reading Transpotation Company (division of the Reading Railroad) coach # 411 is shown in Allentown, PA.
This is one of six TDH 4008's purchased in 1946. When the railroad decided to get out of the bus business most of their routes went to Trailways.

Indeed. Reading Trailways (Reading Transportation Company) routes were divied up.....some going to Capitol Bus Company (Capitol Trailways of Pennsylvania), some going to Edwards Motor Transit Company (Lakes-To-Sea System), and some going to Safeway Trails (Safeway Trailways).
All of those companies are now gone, with other companies operating just a fraction of the former routes... |
