Lots of info, especially on Van Hool motorcoahces and low-floor transit buses (used only sparingly in the US):

I looked at the brochure for the TD925, and it made me smile when it said: "...the TD925 offers one of the most innovative coach designs offered to the U.S. traveling public since the Scenicruiser (R)."
Personally, I would prefer traveling on an MCI or Prevost coach. And as far as innovation goes, what about the Neoplan Skyliners that have been around here since around 1970, (though no longer)?
Five feet, eleven inches of headroom on the lower deck, and five feet, seven inches on the upper deck is unacceptacle, to me. And only 295 cubic feet of baggage space, for 81 passengers? Maybe okay for commuters, but for college students heading back to school, loaded to bear? Well as they say in Brooklyn, 'fahgeddaboudit! |
