Are there any more NYBS GMC Classics at NIMCO and how much would those go for? Is it profitable to buy one and preserve it? Thanks |

I think you mean the GMDD Classics 1600-1602. Yes there still there for now. Remember they have been sitting there with the Fishbowls for almost 2 years. From what I heard NIMCO raised there price to $8000.00. |

Uggh so much for saving. Thank you very much Mark for letting us know and thanks for the answers. |
Who cares about so much for saving. Try doing it anyway. You still never know what could happen. Just do it and if the bus is scrapped by the time you have the money, I'm sure there's something else you could use the money for. Why not use it for your college fund if the bus ain't there. What sucks for me is that my mom doesn't want to use any money that she has saved on the bus because she's saving THAT money for my college fund. Damnit, life ain't fair and neither is the MTA or NIMCO. Oh well. Succeeding in life is more important than saving an old bus from the 1980s with a nice two-stroke Detroit in it, I guess. |

Well I grew up on Liberty Lines Express and their MCI Classics so it's not just about the engine and its sound that takes me back into their era (80s/90s), it's also about the history I have with them and all that. I have memories of riding the Liberty Classics and I grew up with them so I want one of those instead of one of the others. Also I've actually never heard an 8V-71N before. The 6V-92TA is the most familiar sounding to me, nothing can beat it at least IMO.. |

Aw damn....someone PLEASE save one of the GMDD Classics with the 6v71.
It's either 1601 or 1602....I forget. But the sounds of those babies are unlike ANY bus out there. |

1602 is the best bus for sound IMO. I would buy that bus if I had the money. |

Well it looks as though 5887 will be going to the scrap yard. What a shame. |

I do feel sorry for you about 5887, even though I didn't grow up on the GBL. It is a shame. |
