Before the takeover by New York Trailways in 1994, there was a Rochester-based Trailways franchise called Empire Trailways. Their coaches were typically clad in the classic Trailways livery until 1988 when they purchased their first 102C3 (ET-8832) where that coach was solid red with a white-silver-grey "Z" stripe down the sides and front and rear of the coach. With the exception of ET-8933, all post-1988 coaches were clad in the new livery. Anyone else, especially Upstate New York bus lovers remember Empire Trailways?? |

Empire Trailways? Yes, long time Member, Jim Mancuso documented much concerning Upstate carriers.
Sadly, he passed away, though his messages should still remain in listings in various topical areas here...
