Looks like an 'awe faw down' situation for one MTA New Flyer D60HF.
I'm not much of an engineer, but it would seem to me that attaching a taut cable from the tow truck to the bus while easing down the three hydraulic pistons would probably have done the job.
Does anyone recognize the garage because I have absolutely no information as to when and where this happened except to say that I understand that it is not uncommon!
Photo thanks to Joshua Thurman of NorCal Bus Fans.

Looks like they tryed to put on a central post lift & didn't put it exactly in the middle
It may have gone up OK, but then when someone went inside or removed some component ... opps.
They should have added outrigger lifts after it was up !
Someone in Maintenance Mngt is going to be written up for it. |

That might have been a frightening sight to see - I hope nobody was injured when it happened. |

The incident happened at 126th Street Depot close to 2 years ago. An investigation ruled that the hydraulic lift was defective and it's failure caused the bus to fall. |

I can see why the guys at Zerega CMF refer to the artics as "slinkies"; that's quite a photo, Mr. L!!! |

Here's a novel approach to servicing odd sized buses!
It's called 'Rock-A-Bye Bus' in which the bus (a double decker in this case) is placed in an inverter which cradles the whole body.
The inverter than tips the bus to one side for easy and safe access to the under carriage for service and repair.
Maybe the MTA should take note!
