The roadeo is on June 21st and 22nd and it is at Floyd Bennet Feild. At the roadeo you can watch the competition, Check out the museum buses and ride around the area in a vintage double decker. The roadeo is free and the best way to get there is take the B2,B3,B9,B41,B46,B47 or Q35 to the Kings Plaza Mall at Flatbush Ave. and Ave. U and then take the free shuttle bus. |

It's hard to predict exactly which vintage buses will be on display from one roadeo to the next.
This year's roadeo breaks with tradition because it is a combined NYCT/MTAB roadeo, while in 2006 & 2007 there were separate MTAB roadeos held at Belmont Park.
MTAB has a very nice, very colorful historical fleet (as I recall, there were 7 ex-PBL units on hand last year).
I recall seeing NYCT 3758 at most NYCT roadeos, plus NYCT 1201, "NYCO 2789", FACCO's Queen Anne and Queen Mary, FACCO's Betsy, and a few other Fishbowls.
Usually most of the NYCT vintage buses are brought out for Vintage Bus Day (which lately has been held in mid-September, and combined with the annual Atlantic Antic) |

| You probably won't see Museum Bus #3758 at Floyd Bennett Field this year, because that former NYCTA 1963 GMC 5303 model is currently having all soughts of mechanical problems again. Bus Maintenance even had to take apart the front frame. |

In case you didn't attend the Roadeo today, I have excellent news for you:
NYCTA 2151 was on display and looking great!
Additionally, older sister NYCTA 100 was one of 2 historical buses that were giving free rides along the Floyd Bennett Field runways and highways (LL 3006 was the other historical bus in service). |

Actually, the 2008 NY Transit Museum Bus Fest will be held Sunday, October 5.
Like the past two years, it will be held in conjunction with the Atlantic Antic Street Fair.
This is information I got from Edward Crew and his assistants at the bus buff tent, when I was at the Bus Roadeo yesterday. |
