| Passing by 37th Street, I saw some movement going round - steel beams being placed above the northbound route towards the Lincoln Tunnel, in the section near where once Inter-City buses were parked when not in action. |

Speaking of "INTER-CITY" Fishbowls, this classic scene from 1981 was snapped just several blocks north of where Your's Truly then resided (today, only a few blocks further!) 
I rode these buses into the "Port-of-Aithority"s too many times to count, on the old "RIVER ROAD EXPRESS", back in the day..........

| That silver strip above the passenger windows on those Inter-City buses, why couldn't the "Em-Tee-Yay" have used those on the once-"batwinged" buses once the last "batwings" were junked in 1984? How they were built shows that there was no provision for standee windows. |

Not just the "suboiban" Fishbowls. A glass-laden building now stands where once Red & Tan buses were parked, as on the right. |

I can recall you mentioning this awhile ago.......so much, TOO much, has changed. 
BTW. I recall for years buses of different companies stored under the elevated approaches; where do they store "off hour" buses today?
I know NJT has that HUGE "BINO" lot in Weehawken, near the Lincoln Tunnel portals...........
