The Mets TROUNCED the "Nash-unals" down in a rainy "Dee-See"!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy

(the ever-pompous "Boulevardiers" were, of course, off today)........ Wink

"NYO"

Unfortunately, the Mets' season ended with a whimper, losing 6-4 to the "Nash-unals" in "Dee-See." They end the season at 74-88.

But while "AYF's" are licking their lips as usual, there's no other cause for celebration on their end as the "Boulevardiers' " last game against "Baldy-more" has been cancelled due to the continuing inclement weather and will not be rescheduled, thus their season is over after a mere 161 games. (They play a division series against "Bah-ston" starting Tuesday.)

And the worst record in baseball this year? The "Rock-ees," 58-104.

Meanwhile, in "Noo Yawk in name only" (NYINO) football, the Giants won against the "TIE-tans," while the Jets fell short to the Lions in "Dee-troit."

I'll settle at this point for "Bah-ston" cleaning their clock in the division series "foist" . . .

VERY good report on 1010 WINS this AM, regarding the bitter rivalry between the "Xoz" nd the Yankees.

Terms like "bad blood", "baseball bloooshed", etc.,were tossed around.

One die-hard Yankee fan, when asked if the rivalry is still there, reploedt hat "....it's still there in force, but it's all on social media now.You don't have to throw a beer can at someone, or punch them in the face....."

Another fellow from up "Bah-ston" way, commented:

".......I know enoigh that, when attending a game at Yankee Stadium, NOT to root from the Sox....."

And, now, from a Mets fan:.......

".....uf the Yankees win, at least it'sa home team; vack in the 40 and 50s, my dad taught me to show loyalty to ALL Ne w York teams......."

Some VERY interesting comment! Wink

"NYO:

BTW:

Mr. Judge will NOT be playing tonight, nor any other game, due to injury.

Also, Eyewitness News Chief Meterologist, not surprisingly, is a DIE-HARD "Bah-Ston" fan...........

So far, the "Sox" ain't even on the scoreboard . . . from what I hear, whenever "Bah-ston" fans are in "Boulevardiers' " territory, they have to "watch it" just as Mets' fans have for decades.

The arrogance level amongst the "AYFs" has just been upped to new heights............... Sad

Yeah, I see by the final score that "Bah-ston" never was on the scoreboard. Isn't that also the kind of score you see in games that are forfeited for whatever reason?

But the bile of "AYF's" in this case is the reason why "Bah-ston" fans, as I've said, have to be "in the closet" like you've said about Mets' fans.

As for "The Judge," doesn't it look like we're about to bear witness to the beginning of the end of his career?

W.B.:

"Bah-ston" fans, like Mets fans, GAVE ti "stay closeted" for obvious reasons....and who can blame them?

As I've recounted here in the past, virtually all the Mets fans where I worked were smart enough to stay in the "closet", for fear of "AYF"wrath.

Somuch for "good sportsmanship"........... Sad

It's been said that the "Boulevardiers" put the "wild" in the term "wild card" which level they're now in with "Bah-ston."

Other 'woids" indeed fit the "Boulevardiers", but, as this isa "family"

No surprise there . . .
