In "Ay-El-Dee-Ess' " Game #1, "doze squeakers" were "MOIDERLIZED" by "Ta-RON-to," 10-1 - and it couldn't have happened to a "nicer"[sic] bunch of haughty, overpaid, prima-donna "tin men." And serves the "AYF's" right, after the mob scenes Thursday night.

'Course, there are 2 - 4 more games in this round to go . . . but still . . . Rolling Eyes

W.B.;

"GO, BLUE JAYS!!!!" Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Man, HOW REFRESHING to see "doze arrogant squeakers from da Bronx" FEEL for THEMSELVES the CRUSHING AGONY of DEFEAT!!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I DON'T think that the "AYFs" are in a GOOD frame of mind, tonight (probably hurling obscenities at Blue Jays with the usual toxic, highly-vocal ferociousness; on the OTHER hand, you KNOW the Mets fans are indeed chuckling and rubbing their hands together with glee, this evening(!!) Laughing

ABOUT TIME those swollen heads are deflated, for a change....(!!) Wink

I'm wondering who's in the Jays' cheering section - "Dudley Do-Right"? After all, he was a Mountie . . .

As Jay Ward was a West Coast man (born in San Francisco, raised in Berkeley), I doubt he named the Mountie character after that station (and area) in "Bah-ston."

Don't look now, but "doze squeakers" are once again being shellacked by the Blue Jays out in "Ta-RON-to." May it hold and the "AYF's" once again being reduced to pulling out whatever hairs they have left.

Man, you GOTTA LOVE doze Blue Jays!!! Very Happy

And, so, the overly-inflated heads of the "AYFs" are (again!) being further deflated!! (man, Mets fans GOTTA be loving this!!) Very Happy Very Happy

Heck, even thpse creaky "Tee-Totalers" could play a BETTER game than "doze smug, arrogant, prima-donna squeakers from da Bronx"! Razz

It sounds like even the "Gashouse Gorillas" would be no match for the Blue Jays, at this point . . .

*EDIT:* Yep, "doze arrogant, prima-donna squeakers from da Bronx" are now in a hole, down 2 games to zip. Again, serves them - and the "AYF's" - right.

W.B.:

Though I hate to wish "hard luck" on ANY team, "doze arrogant, prima-donna squeakers from da Bronx" had these two losses LONG coming; they (and their ever-rabid fans) are FAR TOO ARROGANT for their own good, and from that vulgar, insane tirade the 'AYFs" threw outside of the stadium the other evening, just let me say that "what goes around, comes around". Mad

As, for the most part, Canadians are not all that enamored with Americans these days, they really must be really enjoying the trouncing that "doze arrogant, prima-donna squeakers from da Bronx" are now receiving....(!!) Wink

Tuesday, the "DAY OF RECKONING"...........

It's "WIN OR GO HOME" for "doze smug, arrogant, prima-donna squeakers from da Bronx" (*indeed scary how the "AYFs" are every bit as arrogant and as obnoxious as they "players" they so shamelessly idolize).............. Razz

Ryan Field (Eyewitness News at 11)..........

"......the Bombers bombed again in Toronto......."

"......the Yankees can't get out of Toronto fast enough......"

"......they might have been NORTH of the border, but all went SOUTH pretty quickly for the Yankees......"

"......if the Yankees seem like they're playing as though their season is on the line, it's because their season IS on the line....."

Not surprisingly, Mr. Boone clearly is NOT a happy camper, these days.....(!!) Rolling Eyes

Speaking of "bombing," that's exactly the case with what passes for the "Noo Yawk" (in name only) football teams. Both are absolute shadows of their former selves, just as with the other sports in town. When walking down the street I see very few people wearing uniforms of either team.

Meanwhile, the basketball and hockey teams are still in the pre-season.
