Compare these photos depicting the interiors of "ME-1s" and "Standards" (aka "Broadway Battleships")

While the interiors of the "Standards" were purely "high-density rapid transit" in overall layout, the interiors of the "ME-1s" were clearly a combination of rapid transit and suburban commuter (including flip-over seats)..........

Here's an interesting "Patton" comparison photo at St. George; the terminal was only a few years old at the time of this photo...........

In 1953, the SIRT abandoned passenger service on the Arlington and South Beach branches.

A group of surplus "ME-1s" were sold to the NYCTA, for service on the BMT (recall, the aborted plant to link the SIRT with the BMT, back in the 1920s)

The cars were shorn of their headlights, had subway-style "Axiflow" fans installed, and the walk-over seats bolted in place.

Metal plate destination signs (rescued from scrapped "El" equipment) were installed in these revamped cars.

The trailer cars included in this group were converted into work cars/yard offices.

This rare photo shows a group of "ME-1s" being floated over to Brooklyn from Staten Island.........

By the time of this 1971 photo (taken at St. George) Old Looks (aka "Kramdens") were living on borrowed time.

The hulking MACKS (aka "Pattons") were already gone from the scene by this late date.

Note the "pod" on the roof of #9000; this housed radio communication equipment.

As recently as the mid-1960s, only Old Look and MACKS operated on "The Isle of Staten".........

Here's an interesting scene from 1954........

Note the lead car in this train of ex-SIRT "ME-1s", though already having been repainted, has not yet had its SIRT headlight removed.

Note. also, the Old Looks.......indeed, a bygone era......

Same location, depicting ex-SIRT "ME-1s" in the BMT yards; note a large number of NYCTA Old Looks in these nostalgic photos, as a bonus......... Wink

Thanks! Wink

I, also, was leaning towards the 4510s, but, as no fleet numberswere visible, I could not be sure.......thanks again! Very Happy

One number, 4452, was clearly visible.
