Alright, another addition of the MTA B.S. Gazette is out. Let me guess, more patting each other on the back in it. I think I'll throw a party. |

Newsletter editing 101 is patting the suits on the back, & telling the troops what you want them to hear.
If you are restricted to four pages & B&W there's not much room for anything else.
Fan newsletters & magizines are getting fewer & further between issues.
e.g. Headlights; NYNY&H Assoc; etc. |

You sound like another person itching for management "approval". |

One thing about Green Bus Lines back when I worked there was the fact that we had no 'empty suits' hanging on (those are 'dummies' walking around in shirts and ties with nothing to do - or they didn't know what to do!).
There was one exception; Mr. Cooper's cousin Willie, but I don't think his 'elevator' went all the way to the top!
Cousin Willie would often chauffeur Mr. 'C' when his regular driver was off, and he used to empty trash baskets and fill the Coke machine in the office among other things (in other words, a real goofer!).
His vocabulary was made up mostly of grunts which was often his reply when you would greet him in the morning.
I guess most companies have a couisin Willie that the rest of the family feels obliged to take care of - and Mr 'C', being the decent guy that he was, took that obligation seriously!

The L-A-S-T edition of the MTA Bus Newsletter has just been published.
In the future the bus division of NYC Transit will be issuing one newsletter for Transit, MAT Bus & LI Bus. I was part of a group that met with Chris Lake last month.
I expect to be published in the July edition of the leader, as I submitted a small article.
I have a few copies of the MTA Bus newsletter.
If you want on please send a private e-mail with you snail-mail address. |

You have had something in almost every issue, somethings taken from BTN, BusChat and BusTalk III. I only remember seeing one article credit other people. Guess it helps when you are the assitant editor, since you have a full page normally. Guess limited what can be published, as you claim in a post above, is a load. Oh by the way, I have my copies 3 weeks already, so just came out is a stretch. |

The "latest" edition has just been published, i.e. May/June 2009.
I have a few of them in addition to the previous edition "March/April".
Send me a private e-mail with your snail-mail address if you can't otherwise get a copy ... seven are going out today. |
