Quite telling.........

Last evening, on the Jimmy Kimmel set (In Brooklyn),Jon Stewart crawled out of a "manhols" spoofing the "sewer men" who have been in the news every day as of late.

Jon tol Jimmy:

"Hey, I got Mets tickets for you!

Jimmy replied:

They're STILL playing? In the SEWER?"

"The Mets have been playing in the sewer ALL YEAR......:"

QUITE telling! (and, remember, Jimmy is a BIG Mets fan!)

Petty sad.........

Speaking of pathetic, the "Boulevardiers" square off tonight in Game 1 of the division series against the "Rayz" in Tampa Bay. And would I be correct in assuming that we are watching the beginning of the end of "the Judge's" career unfold?

W.B.:

IMHO, "Moo Yawk" baseball was at its peak when there were no less than THREE pro teams calling the city home.

The city then boasted THREE ballparks (NOT "SINOs") and the game was played by real "IRON men"

How much we've lost, in the ensuing decades........... Sad

And it looks like it might happen. The "Rayz" smashed the "Boulevardiers" again! And lead two games to none.

W.B.:

Agreed 100%.

To compare the Yankees of, say, the 30s through the 60s, to today's smug, paper-thin "Bouleardiers", woiuld be like comparing a "BINO" to a "Kramden" or a "Patton".

Just ain't NO comparison.

Ruth, Gherig, Mantle, Berra......night and day, my friend.....
