The "Luckless Mets", believe it or not, are NOT the WORST team at present; that dubious distinction goes to the Los Angeles Angels.......... Razz

The Mets have won more games for sure, but not enough to get out of the cellar . . .

W.B.:

Agreed, 1005.

Right now, the Mets have dug themselves into a hole so deep, it's more of an excavation,........ Sad

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Sunday (Final Edition).............

WHAT A DIFFERENCE one day makes......doze ever-arrogant "Bpulevardiers" were TOTALLY STOMPED by the "Phil-ees" earlier!

And, to top it all off (as I've already mentioned) the Mets FINALLY (yes!!) won a game this afternoon!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

NO happy "AYFs" going home on the "4" and "D" trains tonight, but PLENTY of VERY HAPPY Mets fans heading home via the "7" trains...... Very Happy

Funny thing was, the "Boulevardiers" were playing in "Phil-ee," so any "AYF's" that trekked there would have left Citizens Bank Park far from gruntled on SEPTA #4 and #17 buses or 'Metro B' trains at NRG station. But yeah, Mets fans would have headed home from Citi Field on the #7, happy as a clam.

The Mets' win today is one reason why their hole is not nearly as deep as the Angels'.

If only briefly, it is always most refreshing to see the ever-arrogant "Boulevardiers" get taken down a peg or two! Wink

And, at the VERY Least, there i s SOME consolation that the Mets are NOT the WORST team in pro baseball.....that''somethingg, anyway! Very Happy

So far, the Mets are doing to the Braves what Sherman's army did in 1864 to the city of Atlanta itself - massacre them.

In "Shik-aga," meanwhile, the "Boulevardiers" are leading the Sox by a mere "squeaker" at this point. Regardless of what happens there, "AYF's" are likely to be boxed in again in terms of their rabidness towards Mets fans.

The same "Thunderboids" that, on the CC line, "soived" people going to and from the "real" Yankee Stadium. Also on the GG line, where at Roosevelt Avenue people transferred to the 7 to take them to Shea.

Incidentally, the "Boulevardiers" will be in "Shik-aga" all this week. They have three more games with the Sox (a.k.a. the "South-Siders") thru' "Thoisday," then the next three days they move to the North Side to play the "Cubbies." And the Red Line will be taking "AYF's" who somehow got to "Shik-aga" to both "parks."

In "Shik-aga", there were NO happy "Sox" fans going home on the "See-Tee-Yay", thst's for sure. Sad

With the month almost over, and August now upon us, it will be interesting to see how both "Noo Yawk" teams fare...................right now, ot's anybody's guess as to what might transpire, during the "dawg days".....................

(Regarding the "Thinderboids"on the old "CC"; back in the early/mid 1980s, I was QUITE well aquainted with these thundering relics; I still remember a few cars still having the original 1948 interior paint, albeit under tons of unsightly graffiti Also, I clearly recall one car that had experimental ventilation grills in the side door windows. Those cars, indeed, had TRUE personality!)Wink
