Scroll down page for info/photos on the BMT station; of particular interest is the photo showing "former ticket windows".
This complex, echoing station had to be one bustling beehive of activity, nearly a century ago (much interesting information on the iRT's Brooklyn Bridge station as well; note, also, rare photo of early experimental cooling system on one platform)
