Many years back, you'd see double-deckers with rolled-up canvas covers stretched across the radiators, which were unrolled as protection during extreme cold......

Just wondering...........

By the 1980s, when "Slinkies" were beginning to become popular with American transit agencies, I wonder if the manufacturers ever took consideration as to how these artics would handle in icy, wintry conditions.....ditto the operators located in areas where winter weather can often be indeed brutal..........

At the very least, the "Skinkies" that run out in "El-Ay" never have to worry about being "sidelined", due to heavy snowfalls and icy streets....... Rolling Eyes
