(SEE PREVIOUS POSTS/LINKS).........

https://www.mta.info/project/queens-bus-network-redesign

As many areas of Queens are served by the subways (also, the LIRR) it would seem that "BRT" would be most useful (or, at least, the bus network redesign) in areas not served by any sort of rapid transit/commuter rail...........

In silhouette, looks almost like a robotic cat, no? Definitely doesn't have the poetry in motion of the old "batwing" Fishbowls, for sure.

W.B.:

Indeed, you and I BOTH think alike; "robotic cats", rubber-tured centipedes, giant, human-engorging serpents........NOT to my liking, at all. Razz

But, then again, it IS, after all, a "BINO" world we live in these days, no? Razzr

Thought.........

Here in "Joisey", IMHO, the closest we'll ever get to "BRT" is the "dedicated bus lane" on Route 3 (S-3), leading to the Lincoln Tunnel (and even THAT is GRISLOCKED during peak hours)

The ONLY place I can TRY to even visualize "BRT" operating here would be in the Newark area................

(note that the "Ar-Tik" seen here is also equipped with offside doors).........

W.B.:

Speaking of "offside doors" on "Ar-Tiks", in my mind, I envision the new PABT having unloading platforms on BOTH SIDES (if, of course, NJT had "Ar-Tiks" with offside doors!), to further speed up dwell time during unloading...........

Interesting page on "BRT" in Atlanta (note that Indianapolis has an all-electric "BRT").......
