EZRide Shuttle page
Quote: | New Shuttle Operator Starts October 6th – Larger buses to ease crowded shuttles On Monday, October 6, 2008, new contractor Paul Revere Transportation will assume operation of EZRide Shuttle. The schedule, stops, and route will be remain the same, as will all fares and passes. Paul Revere will operate EZRide with seven 35-seat heavy duty transit buses. These interim buses offer nine more seats per bus, wider aisles, and a rear exit door to speed unloading at busy stops. As with our current buses, all of Paul Revere’s shuttle buses are wheelchair accessible (via lift).
Paul Revere’s drivers have been fully trained on the EZRide Route, but we ask for your patience during the first few days as they gain experience operating the route with passengers and rush-hour traffic. We also remind all passengers to have their pass sticker, MIT IDs, or cash fares ready when boarding
In mid-2009, EZRide passengers will see further improvements as Paul Revere will deploy all-new low-floor shuttle buses fueled with compressed natural gas (CNG). These buses will feature low-floor access, seating for approximately 35 passengers, electronic destination signs, and environmentally-friendly CNG engines.
We look forward to welcoming our passengers on board the new EZRide Shuttle. Thanks for helping make our first seven years a success. |

Just an update. The CNG buses we are putting out for Paul Revere are going to be Eldorado buses. They are going to be identical to the Winthrop buses we have. They should be delivered sometime in April. |
