In many vintage street scene photos, you'll see tall, cast-iron clocks on the sidewalk.
Most of these were owned/maintained by a local jeweler.
In my area, these were once very commonplace; all have, sadly, long since vanished.......

Willoughby & Adams, 1947.
Here's a most unusual "street clock", back in the days when the streetcars were still out in full force throughout much of Brooklyn.....

Broadway & 42nd St., 1981.
Lots going on here, with a "relief" WAMATA Fishbowl (still wearing 1960's DC TRANSIT paint) taking center stage, a multitude of interesting street signage, and, also, the large (obviously no longer in use) "TOPP'S RESTAURANT" electric sign and clock; this sign, indeed, was a relic, even then......

Meanwhile, back at the ballpark......
We've been discussing class-era electric/electronic signage in detail (many thanks to our highly-knowledgeable friend, W.B. Fishbowl!); here's an excellent photo page highlighting the scoreboard at the fabled, hallowed, now-gone Shea Stadium (this is an interesting page!)

That would be, on that bank sign, what Time-O-Matic called numeral style K (6 x 9, full-throat*).
* As opposed to round or square. |

....funny while, I always was greatly fascinated by electronic digital clocks/thermometers, scoreboards, etc., Inever liked then on transit vehicles.
Too bad the "Em-Tee-Ay" could not have electronic signage to replicate classic white-on-black roller curtains......
