Found the following information on Wikipedia under the category “List of Express Routes in New York City”
Avenue B and East Broadway Transit Company (special service)[edit]
The Avenue B and East Broadway Transit Company the M7 express route between 5th Avenue & 110th Street and World Trade Center. It additionally operated four special routes to racetracks in the New York City metropolitan area. Service was discontinued on April 1, 1980. The M7 express route became a part of the X23 route upon being taken over by the New York City Transit Authority, then became the original X90. X90 service to 5th Avenue & 110th Street was discontinued in 1996.
Route Terminals Streets Traveled
MN20
Chinatown, Manhattan Belmont Park, Nassau County Manhattan: 2nd Avenue
MN21
Chinatown, Manhattan Roosevelt Raceway, Nassau County Manhattan: 2nd Avenue
MQ20
Chinatown, Manhattan Aqueduct Racetrack, Queens
Manhattan: 2nd Avenue
MW20

Now the question is: Was the roll sign printed incorrectly? Should it be MW instead of MN… Yonkers is in Westchester not Nassau County

There may be two separate roll curtains for the destination sign. The wrong route display may have been selected.

I think the answer would be Yes, there was a typo on that roll sign - made, B.T.W., by Transign.

I added that information to Wikipedia after digging through a couple of older posts in this forum.
