This is an historical NTL, and it has no photo.
Name the bus facility:

1.) Borough: Brooklyn
2.) View: Overlooks Midtown Manhattan
3.) Originally opened as a transit site: 1896
4.) Bus Clues:
-Still active, but not in its original role
-Had been the home of one route that crossed a major bridge.

Good luck!

We have a winner!
Congrats, B53RICH!
Crosstown Surface Car House was built in 1896 by the Brooklyn City Railroad, and served Brooklyn & Queens Transit (a BMT subsidiary) in that capacity until 1951. It then served as a bus depot, then was converted to a paint shop, in which capacity it still functions today.
While serving as a depot, it was the home for 121 buses* on the following routes: B18, B24/29, B39, B48, B59, B61, B62. The B39 crosses the Williamsburg Bridge. The B24/29 was later split into 2 separate routes, the B24 and the B30. The latter was a short route, and was discontinued. The B18 also was discontinued (I think it was combined with the B13). The B62 also was transformed into today's B43. The routes formerly housed at Crosstown today are split between FP (B24, B48) and JG (B43, B61). At the corner of Manhattan & Nassau Aves. or Manhattan & Greenpoint Aves., one might be able to see RTS's & Orion VII HEV's (from FP) crossing paths with C40LF's, Orion VII CNG's, or Orion V CNG's (from JG).
*figure dated July 1960 (reference: NYCTS Bus & Trolley Coach Fleet 1946-1958, J. Greller).
