Hard to tell the bus number according to the photo, could be 136. Fire was on Old Country rd near Wetherhill lane. Not my photos.
Man what is it with Orions and fires? ST has had several fires too, one ICMC bus caught fire at WW Mall last year, 9909 at CBS (now back in service), and an Orion at Suffolk Bus also.
LIB 202 had a fire too, but is back. |

Lets not forget about GBL 5519, MTAB 5961 (ex-gbl 5524) and MTAB 105 (former NYCT). All roasted well but 105 won for well done. |

They sure aren't making buses the way they used to (take it from me!).
If Green Line TDH 4512 # 102 that was parked over a pile of smoldering leaves at Jamaica Terminal in the fifties had been a 'plastic' job its wheels would never have seen solid pavement again! (came through like the 'steel' champ that it was!).
