The complicated, sinewy, steel maze of Broadway Junction is most apparent in these views; the lower level tracks were once used by Fulton el trains......

Just beyond the busy Broadway Junction platforms, we see an elderly train of BMT "C"-type El cars, circa 1955/1956; note the postwar TWIN COACH below the train.

Fulton El service ended in 1956.......

W. 8th St. (BMT Culver line), late 1950's.

Note the rows of PSNJ charter buses beneath the El structure.......

Wooden open-platform cars rattle along overhead on the BMT 5th Avenue El at Atlantic Avenue; note, also, the "BROOKLYN BUS CORPORATION" bus on the right.....

The same view, about a decade or so later (in this late 1960's view, "Q"cars have replaced the old convertible gate cars, and a Fishbowl is seen beneath the El)......

These two views at the BMT's Fresh Pond Road ramps were taken in 1969 and 1974; in the 1969 photo, we see the area between the El ramps being used as a repository for retired Old Looks; in the 1974 photo, the Old Looks have gone, replaced with soon-to-be-scrapped "Tee-Yay" green Fishbowls...... Sad

Williamsburgh Bridge (Washington Plaza), 1963.

Three buses are present here; a 5106 is up front on the right, while another Old Look and a Fishbowl can be glimpsed in the background.......

Fulton & Alabama, 1981.

Note, also, the train of battle-scarred R-27/30's up above.......

New York Ave. & Fulton, 1981.

Quite a contrast, here, between the new RTS in the foreground, and the old "Tee-Yay" green Fishbowl in the background......

Willets & 148th; 1973.

Up on the El, note the ancient, battle-scarred work motor; this car, built in 1927, was used for many years as a "signal dolly".

By comparison, the MaBSTOA Fishbowl was quite "state-of-the-art".......
