I haven't seen one of the elusive New Flyer D45S buses in service since December 2005. I've only seen them sitting idle in Stengel since then.

Are they still in service?

I actually know someone who drives one of them. So yes, they are in service but very limited use.

There are only three of them to begin with. I guess you have to be in the right place at the right time to see one

Trolley Fan. Did you every drive the Viking Buses? I know that they only work on the X-51. "Pipe"

Are you sure? The only other known Vikings in existence are in Houston, TX, as well as the original Viking demonstrator at the New Flyer facility in Winnipeg.

Yup..I saw it as I was on the 495 outbound helix. It was in the bus lane heading inbound so it was only for a split second heading the opposite direction from me and from what I saw it was in NJT colors.

Whether or not it was in service, that I cannot say. But it certainly stood out from anything I've ever seen.
