Buses* in Puerto Rico......
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Rico_Metropolitan_Bus_Authority
(note that the agency is the oldest such operating agency today, behind only New York's MTA!)
*Note that, in years past, Old Looks, New Looks, Grummans, RTS's and other now-classic buses once operated here!

It would be interesting to find out about the US-built buses that once ran in San Juan (and other eras), years ago.
I would guess that these buses were second hand; and, if so, it would also be very interesting to learn where these buses were originally running.......

Picturing second-hand American buses operating in San Juan (or, for that matter, any other portion of Puerto Rico) recalls, also, the many American interurbans and streetcars that, after their systems were either cut back or abandoned altogether, were sold "South of the Border" to Mexico and South America.
A number of ex-Detroit and Kansas City PCC's were sold to Mexico City and Tampico where they operated for many years.
Many second-hand American Birney cars could also be found still clanging along, "South of the Border".
A number of PE cars were eventually sold for further service in South America; their fleet of double-ended PCC's were adapted for 3rd rail operation and ran in Brazil as MU commuter trains for a number of years.
A number of elderly secondhand American interurban cars also ran in Lima, Peru.
Also in Peru, one property also operated Birneys that originally ran in Elmira, New York.
Several sets of former Key System "Bridge Units" also "went south" after service ended in 1958, and, for a number of years, operated in suburban commuter service in Buenos Aires, along with a number of refurbished ex-PE "Hollywood" cars..........
