We know that the PD-4102 and PD-4103 were mechanically different.

But exterior wise, were they identical?

Did the 4102 have the rear end from the PD-4101 with two separate rear windows or one solid window like the 4103?

Thanks

Your answer lies here, in the wiki article on the PD-4103...in short it had the latter style rear window of the 4103.

I believe that some of the confusion about the rear end of the PD4102 can be traced to one bus. Back in 1950 or 1951, a PDA4101 belonging to a Trailways division in Colorado was involved in a head-on collision.

It was rebuilt with a PD4102 front end supplied by GM. The rest of the bus remained a standard PDA4101 including the transit-type rear windows.

I've seen three actual PD4102's myself and all had the 4103 rear end.
