A few minutes ago, I visited another bus "fan" website and, after reading only a few posts, I logged off in complete disgust.
The immaturity I had witnessed was completely appalling.
All I can say is that I'm truly proud to be part of the BTN community.
Our moderators work hard to operate a first-class site.
The members here are truly stand-up guys who are mature, civil and very knowledgeable about a subject dear to our collective hearts.
The web can be an incredible boon to hobbyists of all pursuits and special interests.
It also can be used as a weapon.
The recent demise of TTMG (a well run site, in my opinion, with excellent photography and well-researched fleet rosters) underscores just how the rants of a few can ruin the enjoyment of many.
I'll say it again: I'm truly proud to be part of the BTN community. |

Agree 100%. This is one of the most civil forums that I have been on. |

Bob et al,
I like to think that we are tops in this business and that our 'professionalism' is unmatched.
I attribute much of what success we have to the diligent efforts on the part of our hosts in filtering out all but the most worthy and conscientious applicants for membership.
Of course, the quality of our work speaks for itself in gaining for us a prominent place on a world wide stage and I am very proud of that.
If I were a drinking man, I would now be holding up my glass with a 'here's to' to BusTalk.
Many regards to all.
Mr. 'L' |

I'll drink to that. Sorry. Couldn't resist. I've only been on board for a month but love the site and those who post. Haven't stopped reading yet in an effort to catch up.
Thanks, John |

The other moderators and I are pretty much hands-off, so it's really the membership at large who deserve the credit for keeping the place civil. Of course, if things ever were to get out of hand, we wouldn't be shy about taking care of it, but hopefully it won't come to that.
And speaking of well-run sites, TTMG is back in business. |

I spend more time on "spam patrol" than on "post patrol", and that is just to show spammers that the delete button works!! So 'Thank You" goes to the membership who make life easy, and that is 99.9% of the registered users here. |

Honestly I don't see why folks would be so mean spirited when we all want to share a common passion |
