|
|
I differ with the tendency of those who program digital signs on NICE or the predecessor LI Bus. Or NYCTA.
Often, I find the double-line signs difficult to read, and at least on N73 and N74, this double-line destination is not accurate:
Wantagh
LIRR Station
---
That sign for the southern end of N73 and N74 has been in use for a few years now. However, the bus continues another half-mile to meet N19 at Merrick Road!
---
Yesterday, I spotted a bus showing N73 WANTAGH, all alone in large capitals. Bravo. I hope that is a trend.
I prefer HEMPSTEAD as a single large word
rather than
Hempstead
Transit Center.
---
I grant that Transit Center is a more specific destination, but it not as clear on an approaching bus as the large word HEMPSTEAD.
