I was wondering if anyone has a list of signs used on NYBS buses. Other than the normal readings, I already have the following:
Pelham Pkwy
Pelham Pkwy - White Plains Road
Williamsbridge Road
Shorehaven
Anyone know of any others? Pictures?

7th Avenue
West Side
I've seen pictures of them before but they're not on the net anymore. But can't you easily get the readings from the sign of 1481? |

If 1481 had those readings, I would not be asking. I plan to have a sign made with all those rare readings. |

Well if I'm correct, 1481's readings date from the late 1980s due to its "new looking" font, so that's why those mentioned readings are not there....right? |

Actually. the Classics and Fishbowls had different signs. One could not be used in the other because of the drivers reading. It was different between the 2 buses. Most classics had their original 1988 signs and most fishbowls had the 1982 signs. In the late 90's, some new signs were printed to replace damaged ones. These had the basic readings but driver readings in both positions so it could be used on either the classic or fishbowl. That is the sign 1481 has. All of the signs from the fishbowls were sadly thrown away. |

Damn.
So not good.
At least some old RTS Green Lines rollsign is intact on a ex-JBL TMC RTS, as well as some 1990s Triboro Coach on a repainted ex-JBL TMC RTS.
Just hope they last a lil' bit longer..... |

A handful of GMC RTSs in Eastchester still have the GBL rollsigns intact. I even saw one or two with a Triboro sign. |

'Trotters' usually refers to a form of harness racing, so I would assume this sign would be used for runs to Yonkers Raceway. This makes sense given NYBS's history of providing service to such tracks. |
