Your route 144 an ACF-Brill model C-44. This bus does not appear in the C-44 production list therefore it leads me to believe that it was a second hand bus

By the way the GM New Looks all models TDH-5303 in 1970 outnumbered the Flxibles at both depots.

Coliseum had 218 buses 64 Flxibles and 154 GM
West Farms had 195 buses 64 Flxibles and 131 GM
